Our sister company, SEEN, has published a limited run of art quality prints based on the outer packaging design of the Animal Crack Box we released back in May. These four color silkscreens are printed on super high quality, super thick all-cotton Coventry Rag 335 gsm paper. The print area is a huge 18" x 35".



This is an edition of 150 copies, signed and numbered by Jon Vermilyea (the illustrator) and SEEN. They are beautiful to behold (if we do say so ourselves). Details, images and ordering information are here.

After much ballyhoo, Eric Copeland's Al Anon is ready for orders. Full details on the release page. This is the second twelve inch from the recently released Alien in A Garbage Dump CD on Paw Tracks. We couldn't be more honored and psyched to unleash this on the world.

Also we are planning a limited run of posters based on the Animal Crack Box cover design. Since parts of the design were lost due to the particulars of the box construction this will be a way present the whole drawing. Plans are just now coming together, but these will be high quality silkscreens on archival quality paper — you know, frame-worthy. So they'll cost a little bit of money, but nothing outrageous for an art-quality print. And we'll probably do a very small run. Let us know if you are interested so we can gauge how many of these things we ought to make.

Apologies to those of you who tried ordering over the past few days — Paypal changed their shopping cart system on us and we've only now been able to correct it. Let us know if you run into any lingering issues.

Eric Copeland's Al Anon vinyl should be here in about a week or so. Copies should be ready for sale the first week of September. We'll send out an email announcement about it (or check back here)

Hi everyone. Black Dice returned with a small number of copies of the "Chocolate Cherry" tour 7". So we've put copies up for sale here and are dropping off a bunch at Fusetron as well. Since there's not a ton of these left those will be the only outlets for this record.

Up next on Catsup Plate is Al Anon by Eric Copeland. We're hoping to have it out by the same time at the Alien in a Garbage Dump CD that Paw Tracks is releasing (with collects the vinyl only Alien and Al Anon). But we may not get it out at texactly the same time -- we're doing our best. And we'll keep you updated here.

Black Dice just picked up their copies of the "Chocolate Cherry" tour 7" that we've released. We've got to say that these things look amazing -- another stellar print job by our friends at VG Kids. And the design istself isn't bad either...

For now the band has the only avaiable copies which they will sell on tour -- including a very smalle number of handmade covers covered in plastic puddles a la their awesome and most recent record Repo. Not totally sure how many of the super limited edition copies will be available, but probably not more than 30 or so. And the total run is only 500 copies so try and catch them when they come through your town and pick up a copy. We'll sell whatever copies remain once the band returns.

We understand there's a lot of disappointed folks out there who missed out on copies of the box set. We we taken by surprise by the high demand for these things. Folks who signed up for the fusetron email list got the word (as did Pitchfork readers I guess -- they've been amping up interest in the set for some time now). We had planned to send out an email and post info here last night but by the time we attempted to do so Fusetron had been flooded with orders. For now they are assessing exactly how many orders came in -- there is a chance that more copies will be available when the dust clears, so sign up for their email list if you want one.

If you missed out, we are sorry, but we made the playing field as level as possible for everyone. And we honestly though that folks would have a good week or two to place an order -- we thought this would see out, but were blindsided by the demand.

In other Catsup Plate news, Black Dice will be taking a limited edition (500 copies) tour 7" with them when they head out on their US tour this month. We'll sell any copies that are left over once they are back, but in the meantime, pick one up at a show when they come to your town.

Jeez. This is more updates to the Catsup Plate website that we'd normally have in a year. Busy time.

Welcome to our new website. Its a long-time coming, but hopefully worth the wait.

We're still waiting on the vinyl for the Animal Crack Box, so no news on that front, but rest assured it will happen. There are still a few days left in the test pressing (re)auction (see below), which is going for a more modest price than it did previously. Bid up folks!! It helps out a good cause.

Plans are still afoot to rerelease the (now out of print) Mountains LP in CD format. Coming a bit sooner than that is a new 7" by our good freinds Black Dice -- hopefully ready by the time they go on their US this spring. We're also planning an LP entitled Al-Anon by Eric Copeland -- the companion piece to his recent (and awesome) Alien in a Garbage Dump. And we have word that Axolotl has just completed work on a new album for Catsup Plate, which we're thinking will be an LP/digital release (!). Stay tuned -- we'll have more details on all this soon.

Also, we had to raise our prices to cover shipping price increases. And everything costs more and more to make. We try to keep things all punk and cheap, but, you know, inflation and whatnot...

Hi again. So we've relisted the box set on eBay. You can check it out here. Fingers crossed that folks are as generous as they were last time (uh, except for the eventual "winner"). My concern is that we don't make as much for Doctors Without Borders, but them's the breaks I guess.

We were hoping to put in a word of congratulations to the winner of the Animal Crack Box eBay auction here, but we have received word that the winner cannot pay the final price. We won't go into details here, but suffice it to say we weren't expecting this. We will work this out with eBay and then plan to relist the set once everything is squared away with the eBay folks.

Mostly we hope that Doctors Without Borders doesn't lose out because of this. Watch this space and we'll let you know when the relisted auction is up and running. Thanks.

Big Animal Collective Boxed set news. It's called Animal Crack Box, by the way.

No, we don't have copies ready, but they should be ready within the next 4-6 weeks if all goes well. But we want to announce an auction to benefit Doctors Without Borders that we've set up on eBay. We are selling a set of (approved) test pressings for the box set, housed in the same slipcase and inner LP jackets that the "commercial" version of the set will be packaged in. The test pressings are as playable as a normal record, by the way. This is a one of a kind item, truly unique. We hope that we can donate quite a bit of money to Doctors Without Borders, whose humanitarian work is essential.


All retail copies will still be going through Fusetron -- as in we won't be selling copies here, so no amount of begging us will get you one. And they won't be going through normal distribution channels -- too much stuff gets sold to "stores" that simple flip the records on eBay for a profit. So we'll announce things here soon, but in the meantime check the picture below and spread the word about the auction, it's for a good cause.
